The Vindex is committed to accuracy. While we strive to verify every fact and confirm every source, errors occasionally occur. When they do, we correct them promptly, transparently, and with equal prominence to the original publication.
We take correction requests seriously and investigate them thoroughly. If a reader points out an error, we verify the correction and publish it if warranted.
How to Report an Error

- 3.Your correction and your source for the correct information

We will review your submission and respond within 48 hours. We appreciate your help in keeping our reporting accurate.
Types of Corrections
Factual Corrections
Corrections of factual errors in our reporting—dates, names, numbers, or other verifiable facts.
Clarifications
When readers misunderstand a statement or when additional context would prevent confusion, we may publish a clarification rather than a correction.
Editors' Notes
When we discover significant issues with an article—such as problems with sourcing or methodology—we publish an editor's note explaining the issue and any steps taken to address it.
Updates
When we update an article with new information that adds to or supersedes information in the original publication, we note the updates clearly.
Our Standards for Corrections
- •Prominence: Corrections receive prominence appropriate to the original error. Significant corrections are published on our home page and prominently in the original article.
- •Speed: We publish corrections as quickly as possible once we verify the error.
- •Clarity: Our corrections clearly state what was wrong and what is correct.
- •Transparency: We explain how the error occurred when relevant.
